Art Teachers


Magical Minds Studio is always looking for talented instructors. Our art center offers a multitude of art media from painting to ceramics.

A successful candidate’s skills & qualifications

  • Arrives punctually in order to meet responsibilities in site start up and assignments
  • Is energetic, trustworthy, and committed to your students
  • Enjoys and has experience working with school-aged children
  • Has a basic understanding of child development and age-appropriate behaviors and skills
  • Is an independent, innovative thinker with problem solving skills
  • Works well in a team environment, is willing to tackle new challenges, and is able to multi-task
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with parents, school staff, community members
  • Serves as a positive adult role model for children in the program through appropriate dress, speech, and attitude
  • Is crafty but also artistically inclined
  • Is familiar with various art mediums; painting, drawing, clay, fiber arts
  • Has knowledge of digital art

Requirements

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in the arts, or is working toward a degree in a related field
  • Has two years work experience in youth programs

Substitute Art Teachers


Substitute Art Teachers have a similar skill set to the Art Teachers, but would only teach in the event that one of the Art Teachers is unavailable.
