Ten Second Sculptures

Last week saw us inspired by the work of Austrian artist, Erwin Wurm.

We loved Wurm’s fun One Minute Sculptures, in which Erwin or a model / models strike peculiar poses with everyday objects and decided we’d give it a go ourselves!

We equipped ourselves with some everyday items that seemed to us somewhat Wurmesque: a couple of  oranges, some kitchen rolls, chairs and straws and got creative.

While the actual poses were fleeting and lasted only for 10 seconds, rather then 1 minute, we drew the poses so they could be repeated, and fellow students documented the poses with photography – which is what you will see here.

Pretty great, huh?

Now, remember that secretive project a week or so ago? Well, I am now in a position to reveal all… we were working on some very special Mother’s day gifts – which I am happy to say turned out beautifully – here are a couple:
